Breaking Up - Archie Andrews

Hi I was wondering if you could do 42, 36 and 1 with Archie Andrews please?
1. “Don’t you say that… not you”
36. “I hate you”
42. “This is hard for me too”
You sat on the swing, kicking your legs in an attempt to shake your worries away. When Archie called you, asking to meet up at the old park near Sweetwater river, he had sounded tense. School had ended only a few weeks ago, so you figured that he was still trying to relax. Hopefully seeing you at his favorite place would help calm him. You looked up, glancing around the park. You smiled when you eyes landed on Archie, who was approaching you.
“Hey,” he said as he grew closer. When you saw the frown etched on his features, you stood up from the swing. You reached a hand up to touch his face but he pulled away. You furrowed your brows, a frown forming on your own lips.
“What’s wrong Arch?” You met his eyes and saw the light from them fade like the sun behind you. He scanned your face, searching for something he didn’t seem to find. You couldn’t tell if it was the summer heat or whatever nerves he had that caused him to sweat. He face flushed and he swallowed hard.
“I don’t think that,” his gaze fell to the ground, “we’ve been together 4 months now and I just…” He trailed off, letting out a rough breath. You grabbed his hands, squeezing them gently.
“What are you trying to say?” Your heart was beating like mad now. Archie wasn’t acting like his joyful self, which was very alarming. He looked up again, meeting your eyes once more.
“I don’t think this is going to work.” You dropped his hands, letting your own fall to your sides. “I’m not cut out for this kind of relationship and I just can’t give you what you want.” You felt stinging tears gather in your eyes as you listened. Archie looked from your eyes to the the round and back again, waiting for your reply. Your hands closed in fists, opening and closing in time with your heartbeat.
“Don’t you say that…not you,” you whispered. Your voice threatened to crack at each effort to speak. Archie shook his head and you felt your heart shudder at his coldness.
“This is hard for me too,” he whispered back. You just scoffed and rolled your eyes.
“This is hard for you? Breaking my heart?” You turned your back to him, trying to compose yourself, even just a little bit. You felt your hurt and confusion mesh into a wave of anger you had never felt before. You turned back around and looked at Archie. Those brown eyes you loved were wide as if he were scared. “Is there another girl?” Your voice was quiet when you asked, fearfully awaiting his answer. His eyes glanced down at the ground briefly, then back up at you.
“Yes,” his whisper reached your ears slowly. As if his words were trailing through tar. You felt your heart shatter further. Tears fell freely down your cheeks now.
“I hate you,” you said, not like a bratty child, but as a broken lover. Your voice carried no note of malice, minus the meaning behind your words. Archie nodded, as if he understood. He turned his back to you and started to walk back home in the dark. You watched as he walked away, stealing what ever bit of happiness you had with him.

A/N: Or the one where Archie totally spills his feelings everywhere 😉

Gone were the teenage troubles that came with growing up and the drama that accompanied the core four at Riverdale; Jason Blossom’s killer had been caught years ago, and the town had slowly gone back to the peaceful, uneventful place it had been before the fourth of July.
Jughead, having all suspicions of his name cleared,
had found a sweet girl to settle down with; she was everything he wasn’t.
Opposites but they still managed to fit together like puzzle pieces and she
helped to smooth out his rough edges and the sharp spots that stuck out of him
like needles.
They had been together for almost five years and Jughead knew in his bones that
she was the one, that she was the sole person he was happy to spend the rest of
his life with; the only issue with his plan, or issues, where two men who lived
on the other side of town.
Her brother and father.
Archie and Fred Andrews.
